Tamil Development Department-Thirukkural Week Celebration
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu announced, during the Silver Jubilee celebration of the installation of the statue of Thiruvalluvar held in Kanyakumari District on 31.12.2024, that Thirukkural Week would be observed every year. In order to implement this announcement, a Government Order has been issued to conduct various events such as the Thirukkural Conference, Thirukkural Drama, Thirukkural Music Programme, and Thirukkural Debate, among others.
To ensure that the ideas of the Thirukkural reach everyone, as part of the Thirukkural Week celebrations, a Thirukkural Conference and a Kural Quiz Competition with the participation of teachers and government officials will be held on 21.01.2026 at the Government Medical College, Tiruppur.
